Winterfest

Join Wild Mind at the 18th Annual Winterfest on Friday, February 16 at Union Depot. Organized by the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, Winterfest is one of the premier beer festivals in the state. 

We have one returning and two new special releases to bring to the party:

Spontane Tropic (Pineapple Mango Papaya), a 100 percent spontaneously fermented wild ale that was inoculated overnight in our custom-made coolship in the fall of 2016 and then fermented on papaya, guava, pineapple, and passionfruit in barrels for 18 months. Blended from six red wine barrels, the end result is a truly wild ale bursting with funk and tropical fruit flavor.

Double Depth Charge, an imperial stout aged on Cameroonian coffee beans, returns with notes of brown sugar, pecans, and chocolate. We also created an exclusive variant, Double Depth Charge Whiskey Bean. Coffee beans were aged in whiskey barrels and then added to the imperial stout for an even more intense coffee, whiskey, and roasty flavor. 

This year at Winterfest, each brewery has a specially prepared food dish to pair with their beer, and we have the pleasure of sharing a booth with Travail Kitchen and Amusements.

This event kicks off what promises to be an exciting year of festivals for Wild Mind. In addition to the great local events, we have a couple exciting out-of-state festivals to announce soon
