Starting next week, we’ll be sending out a limited amount of kegs to area bars!

We are a small tasting room in South Minneapolis and distribution was never in the initial plans. Organic and incremental growth is how we make decisions when it comes to our business. However, thanks to all of you, the demand for our beers has been so high that we’ve added more barrels faster than we ever imagined to our Wood Cellar and upped our beer production over the last several months — and yet we’re still struggling to keep enough beers on tap. But don’t worry, there will be plenty of taps, bottles, and crowlers of wild, mixed-fermentation beers in the tasting room The addition of distribution doesn’t change our focus of bringing small batch beers to a neighborhood tasting room, but it does represent some exciting growth that we’re looking forward to sharing with the greater Twin Cities area.

In January, we added a full-time salaried, assistant brewer to the team to help with production. This addition will allow Mat to continue to focus on brewing while also spending more time in the Wood Cellar blending barrels and working on fun experiments with beers that we have been aging beer for 18 months.

We’re happy to announce that we will begin distributing a very limited amount of special, one-off beers to some amazing local establishments in and around the Twin Cities. These kegs will typically be one-off beers that are exclusive to select bars, meaning beers you can’t even get in the Tasting Room.

Our first beer available for distribution is Hot Lips, a mixed fermentation sour with dragonfruit, passionfruit, Tahitian vanilla beans, and coconut. This beer has spent the last 18 months in oak barrels and is ready for prime time. Named after the bright pink paint we used in the Barrel Takeout Room, Hot Lips pours as vividly pink as its namesake.

Hot Lips will be available at the below restaurants starting on March 8, but check with each restaurant for when they’ll have the beer on tap.
