Party with Wild Mind Booth at Autumn Brew Review
The State Fair is over, the kids are back in school, and summer is wrapping up, which can only mean one thing — Autumn Brew Review. Hosted by the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, ABR is one of our favorite festivals of the year as it offers us a chance to drink outside in some of the best weather Minnesota has to offer.
Join us at Hall’s Island in Northeast Minneapolis from 1-5 on Saturday, September 15, for an afternoon celebrating great beer from 140+ breweries from Minnesota and around the country. Each brewery tends to bring some of their best beers to ABR, and that’s exactly what we plan on doing, too.
Here are the beers we’ll be featuring at ABR this year:
Lunch Money - Hopped to oblivion with Mosaic and Simcoe, this extra dank double NEIPA was brewed with 2-row, malted oats, malted wheat, and flaked wheat to provide a thick, pillowy mouthfeel.
Puff the Passion Dragon- This fruited sour was fermented with our own blend of 100 percent Brettanomyces, creating a funky and lightly tart base to which we added more than 60 pounds of tropical hops to add a soft bitterness and tropical flavor the complement the wild yeast. To wrap things up, we conditioned Puff on 336 pounds of passion fruit and 250 pounds of dragon fruit to add a final touch of tartness and a whole lot of tropical fruit flavor.
La Reine - This American wild ale that was barrel-aged for 18 months in neutral oak barrels with our resident micro-flora and then reconditioned on hundreds of pounds of rhubarb, blackberries, and boysenberries for two months before being bottle conditioned for four months to provide extra flavor depth. This tart fruited sour pours a beautiful royal purple and has notes of rich berry to accompany plenty of funk.
Galgo - Brewed with more than 500 pounds of passionfruit, pink guava, and mango, this barrel- and foeder-aged wild ale is fruity and funky with a tart finish.
See ya out there.
